The entire shaftline is designed, manufactured and assembled in our factory to be inspected and stamped before being carefully packed with assembly instructions before being shipped to the customer. If the customer or end user prefers particular brand names of some components, for example seals or bearings, we can supply these and integrate the parts into our packages.

For new constructions, our naval architects and engineers liaise closely with the customer’s own technical staff during the design/specification stages to ensure that the optimum solution, with full compatibility of components, is selected.

Shafts can be designed and manufactured in a complete range of alloys, according to the strength and corrosion resistance required for a particular application. Hydromet 680 is high strength duplex stainless steel specially developed for marine shafts, having high strength combined with superior corrosion resistance. This combination of properties has resulted in its selection for high-speed patrol boats and luxury motor yachts

Shafts are precision ground and straightened to standards exceeding industry norms to ensure a smooth running operation, free of vibrations. Bearings wear caused by non-concentric or a bent shaft is eliminated.

Our steargear packages can also include nozzles, sterntubes, bearings, seals, struts (either “P” or “A” types), rudders and steering gear.
