PropScan is a computerized pitch measuring assembly that enables propellers of any type to be manufactured to the highest possible accuracy. It ensures radial pitch accuracy (measures propeller pitch to within ±0.004”) and blade surface geometry is consistently and continuously measured using a probe. The probe rotates over the blade surface and the measured pitch data for every degree of rotation are captured and send directly to the computer for detailed analysis. Propellers can be manufactured to a higher “Class” of accuracy as per defined by ISO 484/2 –1981 (E). Below is a table showing the tolerance of different “Classes”
